This 16 fl. oz. 82 mm clear straight-sided glass “salsa” jar has an (82-2040) lug neck, wide mouth opening, and a popular profile. It is excellent across industries, especially for food (salsa, mayonnaise, nut butter, jam) and products that need a wide opening for dispensing. This jar is paired with a 82mm 82-2040 gold buttoned metal lug cap with an acid-resistant plastisol liner that provides an oxygen barrier that helps to extend a product’s shelf life. The safety button feature on the center of the cap helps to indicate freshness, popping up when the container is opened and the vacuum seal is broken. The jar and lug closure is suitable for hot and cold filling of various food and beverage packaging applications, including pasteurization and sterilization (can run up to 800cpm based on cap size and closure feeding system). Enjoy the benefits of glass, such as strength, weight, and compatibility for materials that cannot use plastic containers.
