This is a 55 gallon direct drive bung mount TEFC (totally enclosed, fan cooled) drum mixer with 1/3 HP, 34″ shaft, and 0-1725 RPM. This lightweight and portable closed top drum mixer for 55 gallon drums can efficiently turn-over small batches of a variety of different liquids and solids. This series of bung mounts incorporate a smaller ball & socket type c-clamp that allows for precise positioning of the mixer and the removable 2″ NPT bung adapter. With the removal of the bung adaptor, it can even be used with open top 55 gallon drums. It features folding blades that allow it to fit through the small bung opening of your closed top 55 gallon drum. The measured blade length is the blade’s diameter when extended during operation. These direct drive tank mixers couple the mixer shaft directly to the motor, allowing it to run at a higher speed. They also feature a shaft support bearing that helps steady the mixing shaft when in use, reducing wear on the motor. The smaller mixing blades make it a better choice for mixing small batches of lower viscosities liquids and materials. The TEFC electric motor features an enclosure that prevents outside air from being freely circulated within the motor. The motor’s external fan blows outside air over the frame, helping to keep the motor cooled.
